Greetings of Peace from the lovely city of Perth in Western Australia. Met up with some wonderful people doing great work during this trip and I was so inspired with the commitment to creating a more sustainable world. I had the opportunity to learn about preparing students as global citizens, through Professor Neville Bruce who is the foundation director of "Education for World Futures" at the University of Western Austalia. Loved the opportunity to also observe at how sustainable building and living is a reality that everyone can adopt should they choose that as a living lifestyle.
I also got to meet some people who were working with the Curtin University Sustainability Policy Institute. I heard wonderful stories and examples of work that is being led by the dynamic Professor Peter Newman, who is an academic-activist. It was most certainly a very inspiring trip to meet the phenomenal people doing meaningful work and I loved the high environmental consciousness practiced by the people I was blessed to meet up with. I also loved the amount of time I got to enjoy the beautiful outdoors and abundant nature in Perth.
