Global Love Day 2010

I am celebrating Global Love Day on May 1 and I invite you to join in this celebration. My friend Harold W. Becker is the Founder and President of the Love Foundation and he is the one who created Global Love Day. I share with you, his message for the world:

Our theme is simply…

“Love Begins With Me”

We recognize this day as a symbolic expression that we can choose to love each and every day as we gather together and unite as a collective humanity through unconditional love.

We are one humanity on this planet.

All life is interconnected and interdependent.

All share in the Universal bond of love.

Love begins with self acceptance and forgiveness.

With respect and compassion we embrace diversity.

Together we make a difference through love.

Quotes and Thoughts

That want to be in peace, does not change. That thirst to be fulfilled, does not change. Anchor then to that reality, and you will not drift.

Anchor to that beauty that is inside of you, and you will not drift. Everything else will change as it always has. As it always will.

— Prem Rawat

Stepping Into the Dream by Clive Harvey Fox

Every next small purposeful step affirms our highest intentions.

Intention drives the manifestation process where dreams become reality.

Keep stepping ahead, especially through challenge and fear.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

There is something real in you. There is something beautiful in you. If you want to be mesmerized by beauty, be mesmerized by the beauty that is within you. If you want to understand something, understand yourself.

If you want to love, love this beautiful breath that comes into you. If you do this, you will be given a gift of peace, joy, love – not in thoughts, not in words, but in feeling. And that is no ordinary gift.

Words of Wisdom

This world is filled with questions without answers. The heart is filled with answers without questions. We can accept those answers, not the answers the world is trying to give us.

The answers of the heart are very, very different, because the heart says, “Awaken and rejoice. Awaken and be alive. Awaken to the possibility of being fulfilled.”

— Maharaji, Prem Rawat

I don’t want to put one more philosophy to you. Philosophies has been enough. There must be something practical, something real. Up to a certain stage this also seems to be one more philosophy, but there is a difference between philosophy and what I am talking about. And the difference is that I have the process to feel, to experience, what I am talking about.

— Maharaji, Prem Rawat

------------------------------------------------------------------

How do you hide from yourself? Wherever you go, you go with you. So does your heart, your quest, your thinking, your understanding. Everything follows you wherever you go, and that’s why this issue needs to be solved.

It should not be feared, because that peace, the fulfillment of this heart, it is the greatest bringer of joy on the face of this earth. We are talking about joy unparalleled.

— Maharaji, Prem Rawat

The Garden

You have a garden. Take care of your own garden. You’ve been taking care of other people’s gardens, and the vermin have been eating yours. You can’t have that. Take care. Prune. Don’t let the weeds get out of hand.

Take care of this
beautiful garden, this beautiful life you’ve been given. How? By not finding fault with it, but accepting it. By not comparing it, but admiring it.

Inspirational Quotes

Each day is a new canvas to paint upon. Make sure your picture is full of life and happiness, and at the end of the day you don't look at it and wish you had painted something different." -- Author Unknown

Lovely Beginnings for 2010

The year 2010 began with a day out at the beach in Central Coast, Australia with family and friends. The first day back home in Malaysia, I was blessed to have a wonderful lunch with my extended family to celebrate the New Year.

And for the first day back at work, the first appointment in my office was with my spiritual friend from England, Amaranatho. We met at the Faith and Climate Change conference in London last year, as he presented the Buddhist perspective there. We have since become good friends. I am learning a lot from him and love our exchange of thoughts. Our common factor? Love for Earth and for humanity. Thank you, Amaranatho for your friendship and for sharing your knowledge with me. Much appreciated.

I believe Love can change the world. You and I can make that difference. Love to you!

Acceptance

When you look in the mirror, the face you are looking at is not asking for judgment; it is asking for admiration. It is asking for acceptance — acceptance of this life, acceptance of this breath, acceptance of the simple thirst of this heart.

The joy that you look for, that you search for every day, is searching for you—to embrace you, to accept you, and to fulfill you. I’m here to tell you that the peace you are looking for is inside of you.
