Sustainable Love for Humanity

Pure love contains respect. Imagine if we were to practice respecting each other as honored guests? I believe your love might last a longer time. This is a calm, understanding, and faithful type of love as opposed to the passionate type which can be quite temporal. Pure love is deeper as you are more willing to sacrifice, to make the other person happy. This type of respectful love is the result of sharing difficulties and joys over a long period of time. Pure love is sustainable love.

Some of our relationships may begin with passion, but in learning to live with each other through the difficult times, your love deepens. You begin to understand the other person better and you are thankful to them as they stay with you through joyous moments and during times of hardship. It is this type of sustainable love that we really need for our families and communities.

Love as a Way of Life

I believe our natural state of being is one of Love. When we are not in allignment with Love, our environment feels dissipated and clustered, among the many types of ill feelings. And yes, it does lead to physical illness also. I am currently focused on bringing loving values to all environments, as it seems to be direly lacking in most areas of life. I am in the process of creating a more loving world and my quest continues.

I am on Twitter and Deepak Chopra was recently talking about love, too. I loved everything he said and his words resonated with me. Then he mentioned it was all from his book "The Path to Love". I could totally relate to it and maybe you could take a look at it too. Let me give you an excerpt from it briefly.

From Deepak Chopra (p.34): The Path to Love

"The mostvaluable thing you can bring into any relationship is your spiritual potential. This is what you have to offer when you begin to live your love story at the deepest level. Like the seed needed to start the life of a tree, your spiritual potential is the seed for your growth in love. Nothing is more precious. Seeing yourself with the eyes of love makes it natural to see others that way too. You will be able to say of your beloved, as the poet Rumi does:

You are the secret of God's secret.
You are the mirror of divine beauty."
