Holiday Greetings and Love to You

The year is almost coming to an end and it is time for the holidays. It is has been an interesting year and a very busy one. I would like to wish all of you a wonderful holiday season and a great year ahead for 2010.

My quest to experience the journey of an Unconditional Love continues and I foresee an amazing year ahead. I have learnt so much this year, and having the audacity to bring Love into all areas of life has been an empowering journey for me. From presenting at one of the top Graduate Business Schools in Africa, to the Climate Change Conference in London.

One of the interviews from the London conference is posted below, and you may click on it. Yes, I brought Love, even into the Climate Change issue. You know my motto: "The Answer is Love."

Wishing you much love, peace and happiness.

Love always, Shareen.

Faith and Climate Change Conference

I recently attended the Faith and Climate Change Conference in London. It was an interesting and wonderful experiece. You can read more about it, in the link posted below. However, I would like to point out there is a misquote in the article about my work with Earth Day celebrations in Malaysia. I wasn't the first to launch Earth Day celebrations in my country. There are many dedicated organizations and committed people who have been involved in these causes for many years.

I am merely a private citizen who introduced the concept to a local school and head the Earth Day celebrations for that school. It is also accurate the Earth Charter was introduced to the school and there are plans to develop it, whilst involving other organizations. It is also accurate that the Earth Charter was used in my country's group discussion in regards to Climate Change issue. My thanks to the organizers and wonderful people who support me in this work. Much appreciated and am deeply honored.

Thank you. With much love and appreciation to all.

Charter for Compassion

The Charter for Compassion will be launched globally on 12 November 2009. I am on the committee for the Malaysian launch and am honored to be part of this movement. I believe in Love and the original meaning of "belief" in 17th Century which was: to love, to prize, to hold dear. I believe, support and promote the movement of creating a loving and compassionate culture. Below, are the links related to this movement and launch. Let's create this compassionate culture together, you and me. Thank you.

Story about the Wolves

One evening, an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, "My son, the battle is between two wolves inside us all. One is Evil - It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego."

"The other is Good - It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith." The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: "Which wolf wins?" The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

Very true, isn't it?

Sustainable Love for Humanity

Pure love contains respect. Imagine if we were to practice respecting each other as honored guests? I believe your love might last a longer time. This is a calm, understanding, and faithful type of love as opposed to the passionate type which can be quite temporal. Pure love is deeper as you are more willing to sacrifice, to make the other person happy. This type of respectful love is the result of sharing difficulties and joys over a long period of time. Pure love is sustainable love.

Some of our relationships may begin with passion, but in learning to live with each other through the difficult times, your love deepens. You begin to understand the other person better and you are thankful to them as they stay with you through joyous moments and during times of hardship. It is this type of sustainable love that we really need for our families and communities.

Love as a Way of Life

I believe our natural state of being is one of Love. When we are not in allignment with Love, our environment feels dissipated and clustered, among the many types of ill feelings. And yes, it does lead to physical illness also. I am currently focused on bringing loving values to all environments, as it seems to be direly lacking in most areas of life. I am in the process of creating a more loving world and my quest continues.

I am on Twitter and Deepak Chopra was recently talking about love, too. I loved everything he said and his words resonated with me. Then he mentioned it was all from his book "The Path to Love". I could totally relate to it and maybe you could take a look at it too. Let me give you an excerpt from it briefly.

From Deepak Chopra (p.34): The Path to Love

"The mostvaluable thing you can bring into any relationship is your spiritual potential. This is what you have to offer when you begin to live your love story at the deepest level. Like the seed needed to start the life of a tree, your spiritual potential is the seed for your growth in love. Nothing is more precious. Seeing yourself with the eyes of love makes it natural to see others that way too. You will be able to say of your beloved, as the poet Rumi does:

You are the secret of God's secret.
You are the mirror of divine beauty."

Creating a Loving World into Reality

Greetings of Love to you....

I have been going through some challenging times with my life, as I'm sure most of you are in one way or another with yours. I have found my 'spark' again, so to speak. I am reminded of some lessons that I had had learned along the way but had forgotten during those difficult times. I have decided to share some of these reminders with you and the Truths that I have discovered in the journey of my life.

  • Be the voice of hope, the voice of peace, the voice of love. Let that be the voice of everyone of us, steadfast in the knowingness of our oneness. As you open yourself up to this Pure Love within you, the Joy is great, the Peace is present and the Harmony of Love and Peace assured.

  • Let the Love prevail, and allow the Truth of you to be present: a Truth that has you fully empowered, busily co-creating with others, a journey of the Heart.

  • You are of Love: as you speak of Love, from Love, as Love, you express your true essence. The journey is to keep choosing Love. Let's dream, create, our new world of Love, Peace and Happiness into reality. With this understanding, comes the answer you have been seeking.

I find it exciting to be creating this vision of reality based on LOVE. And I invite you to join me in this lovely journey. You and me.... and all of the people around us.

p/s: I love the job title I created for myself, "Creator of Loving Environments". I love sharing our loving values and ways of being to create this Loving World. What a wonderful challenge to manifest this vision into reality! I LOVE.....

Healing and UnConditional Love

Dear Loved Ones,

I hope you are all doing well. We are now into the new year of 2009 and I feel it'll be a year of change, growth and transformation from the personal into the public sphere. We are the change we have been waiting for and it is time for us to step up to our personal responsibility in creating a better world for all. It begins with us, then to our family, friends, community, nationally and globally.

We begin by creating our own peaceful world within ourselves and to lead a loving way of life by connecting to everything in the world around us. We are social beings whose natural state is one of love and we need that connection to humanity and to nature for our own harmony. After all, we are one.

All of us need to do our part to heal our Planet Earth and Humanity. Every little gesture, thought, and prayer helps to heal all wounds. Even for your own self. Especially for yourself. If you really understand how we are all interconnected and interdependent, you would know any healing gestures done for others, will also heal you. And if you focus on healing yourself, to truly love and respect yourself too, it means the world is healing too. You see, the world and you are the same. Your thoughts, feelings and emotions that you have now, is creating your reality and your future this very moment.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I do wish you a wonderful and magical 2009 ahead! It's all about love and peace for me. I am committed to creating a more loving world and will continue in this quest. Looking forward to exciting adventures in this journey! Take care and may we all live in a world overflowing with Unconditional Love!

With lots and lots of love, Shareen.

Change Your Thoughts

I would like to wish you a very Happy New Year 2009! May it be a blessed year filled with love, peace and abundance for all. So, here's my first entry for 2009:

"Change your thoughts, and you can change your world."

I would like to share a few quotes with you in relation to Spirituality:

There is no end to the beauty for the person who is aware. Even the cracks between the sidewalk contain geometric patterns of amazing beauty.
-- Matthew Fox

Spirituality for me is recognizing that I am connected to the energy of all creation, that I am part of it and it is always a part of me.
-- Oprah Winfrey

But the most important lesson is to bring beauty to your attitude.
-- Dixie Carter

Each thing in its way, when true to its own character, is equally beautiful.
-- Edward Abbey

Allowing the truth of who you are -- your spiritual self -- to rule your life means you stop the struggle and learn to move with the flow of your life.
-- Oprah Winfrey

Without loving and caring for others, most of us stand little chance of communing with God, no matter how many years we may spend in silent prayer.
-- Bo Lozoff

No matter what your spiritual condition is, no matter where you find yourself in the universe, your choice is always the same: to expand your awareness or contract it.
-- Thaddeus Golas
